DC Design works its magic on the Toyota Innova's interior to give it an up market luxury feel, comfort and equipment to rival many a luxo-liner on wheels!

Now this is different and may look like a million bucks but that is where you have to be careful lest the next surprise makes you dizzy. As this interior shot of the specially configured Innova by DC Design depicts, it might be opulent and futuristic while also rivaling many a prestige luxo-saloon but is built for those who don't have much to splurge. At least not in the crorepati segment where the likes of the Rolls-Royce Phantom, Bentley Continental and Maybach reside.
Now no Innova can aspire to the big league but understand that this Toyota MPV is surely the greatest there is in the masses league and with optimum pricing and acres of space it can very well double up as a fantastically outfitted lounge on wheels. Unlike DC Design's more upscale creations for film stars and other movers and shakers, this new modification package is meant for the masses who for just an additional Rs 4 to 6 lakh (depending on the gizmos one wants fitted for specific creature comforts and fancies) can get a vehicle turned out with an interior to rival the best Europeans and then some more!

There is a breed of entrepreneur who wants something not just comfortable and luxurious but also functional and tastefully crafted to use in his daily commute and for that the interior of the Innova, which normally seats four to five adults has been completely reconfigured for two. All standard seating, trim and other accessories have been replaced with DC Design's own fitments which start off with two 24-inch wide captain chairs. Plushly upholstered in the finest of leather, they come with their very own thigh and foot supports (electrically actuated), much as you would get in your favourite recliner armchairs in your den or in the first class section of transatlantic jetliners. A fine detail is in the way the seats slide and align with the rear doors for efficient entry and exit.
What truly takes the cake is not just the generous seat area but the massive amount of legroom the occupants get at the rear, to the tune of 44 inches, about six inches more than in a standard Rolls-Royce Phantom. Further adjustability comes with the seat backs which can recline to the tune of almost 150 degrees compared to about 30 degree inclination in a Rolls. No disrespect meant to the mighty BMW-owned Brit marque but some standards were required to highlight the comfort and luxury DC was treating the Innova with.
